High adventure is available to older Scouts (generally 14 and up) who are ready for a true challenge. Troop 31 has participated in some of the finest high adventure programs in the BSA.

Philmont Scout Ranch
137,000 acres in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of New Mexico. A 10–14 day backpacking trek through spectacular wilderness.
Florida Sea Base
Sailing and marine adventures in the Florida Keys. An unforgettable experience on the open water.
Eligibility
Participants must be at least 14 (or 13 and have completed eighth grade) and meet BSA health requirements. Physically demanding preparation is required — especially for Philmont.
